Every calculation on My NIL Value is grounded in a database of 1,200+ real NIL deals from across all NCAA divisions. This dataset includes publicly reported transactions, disclosed deal terms, and aggregated market data from industry sources.

We continuously update our database as new deal information becomes available. Our goal is to reflect the real NIL market — not inflated projections or headline-grabbing outliers.

What our dataset includes:

Deal amounts and structures across multiple sports and divisions. Social media metrics at the time of each deal. School, conference, and market size data. Deal types including social media posts, appearances, merchandise, autographs, and more. State-specific compensation data for tax calculations.

Process: We identify 40+ comparable deals in our database (D1 women's basketball, 10K-25K followers, 3-6% engagement). We weight by conference tier, market size, and engagement quality.

Output: Estimated per-post value of $150-$300. Brand ambassador deal range of $2,000-$5,000/semester. Appearance fee benchmark of $250-$500. State tax impact estimate for Ohio included.

Our valuations are estimates based on market data — not guarantees. Actual deal values can vary based on timing, negotiation, brand budgets, and countless other factors.

Our dataset, while substantial at 1,200+ deals, does not capture every NIL transaction. As the market grows and more data becomes available, our models will continue to improve.

We update our data regularly, but the NIL market moves fast. Valuations reflect the most recent data available at the time of calculation.
